Ulrome St Andrew's Church

The HLF and English Heritage funded the repair works at Ulrome through the Listed Places of Workship Repair Grant Scheme.

Works included the complete repointing of the tower, re-roofing of the tower, structural repairs and a new timber porch to replace the previous badly dilapidated porch.  Specialist CARE registered conservation engineers Blackett-Ord Conservation Engineers were commissioned to assess the nave roof and specify new metal rod ties to the roof. All works on site were successfully overseen by Lucy Stewart and the church is now is a secure postion for the future.

This work took place in 2012 when Lucy Stewart worked for Wiles & Maguire in York.
