The only purpose built bell foundry in Britain, and one of only two foundries operating in the UK today.  This grade II* listed building is on the Historic England At Risk Register, and in 2015 Stewart Architects helped the foundry to secure a £500,000 grant from Historic England to address Urgent Works.

This work will address repairs to the roofs, particularly of the Workshop building which are in very poor condition. It is hoped that this will secure the buildings in the short term whilst an HLF bid is developed for the whole site.

Previous work at the Taylor's Bell Foundry included overseeing and writing the extensive Condition Report for both buildings, and whcih included costs for repairs, structural assessments and other specialist surveys.
